Digital eXcellence dX. was co-founded in 2007 by two close friends, Mike ST1 Stone and D.J. RiZ Hoffman. This organization was formed to be a competitive online gaming sister community to the then present online public community known as Xcessive Force also founded by Hoffman a massive community consisting of 75 or more members. At the time Xcessive Force could expand no further without compromising the strength of the already well oiled community. Digital eXcellence was made to be separate in order to create a dividing line between those in the public community and those who played competitively.

Digital eXcellence was a pretty solid group with small victories here and there but never reached its full potential due to the lack of time and funds granted to allow a new faction to prosper. These setbacks forced dX. to shutdown later in 2007. Although dX. did not attain the desired effects in 2007 the administrators vowed that when an appropriate time arose the community would rejoin and continue the charge towards eXcellence.

Now, with the passage of time, and good fortune dX. has been able to reopen the doors with the same great staff that started the community. The community is now also receiving help from other valuable members such as Reaper and many others that have gathered from various teams to set one of the best foundations for an online professional esports organization. This community has added two fantastic and outstanding competitive teams for both Counter Strike: Source and Call of Duty 4. Along with these teams a third formidable team is being organized for dX.s future in the online blockbuster known as Battlefield Bad Company 2.

To understand where the name of this team originated from and how the infrastructure was devised one must take but a quick tour of our webpage.  Digital eXcellence is what we strive for everything that is done in this community is done as a team, for the team. No one is above another, there are no individuals in dX. Every member is equally as important as the next and poses as an invaluable part of the construction of dX. in this very short period of time. It is understood that the team is only as strong as the weakest member; therefore this community goes through the utmost efforts to ensure that we accept only eXcellent people with eXcellent character. Not to mention, those who are struggling to uphold these requirements are given a helping hand to aid them in meeting dX.s eXpectations. All members are, eXcellent people, eXcellent friends, eXcellent gamers, eXcellent sportsmans, and most importantly, have attained and maintaind their eXcellent maturity levels.
